I'm confused , a mechanic told me this is May be chain other one told me a vanos ,
I life in Iraq they do not have deep experience in Mercedes they saied we have to open and see !
When I accelerate to move it made sound like advanced timing
And am afraid let any one without expereince disassybled the engine
Am need an advice from professional like you as you instruct me with the front turn signal which stays on
You instruct me what to do and am greetfull to you
I called a friend in dubai he told me to scan it and if you see there is misfiring that mean vanos
Thanks for give me your kind advice 😊

MBWorld Fanatic!
Whoever told you about Vanos should be telling you what it is all about.
You have to get your vehicle scanned for codes and that will tell you what the problem is.

Basically what maj dundee is saying is whoever told you your Mercedes has vanos is an idiot.
Do please scan the car with an appropriate scanner. Maj Dundee can recommend one. I like the mb icarsoft II.
from what you are trying to tell us, it seems you have a timing chain rattle/stretch.
