Prevent water leakage 2010 ml350
Hello , I just recently purchased a 2010 ml350 and have had no problems so far . After some research, I have found a common problem is water leaking from passenger side taillight into the vehicle, damaging the SAM. Before This happens and before my electrical gremlin explodes , is there a way to prevent this leakage from the taillight? As of now there is no leakage in the SAM (or under spare tire), there is also only a recall for the 2009 model for the taillight, not 2010. I am just wondering how to prevent this problem . Thanks !

Make sure the taillight seals attach to the body and not the lamp. They were attached wrongly from the factory on some.
Fill the cavities, front sam battery compartment, rear sam and fuse area, under spare wheel, tail gate pump area. Fill them with sachets of silicon gel.
I collect them from any new item I buy and you can even buy them on Amazon, Ebay etc.
