Engine light - help!!
Hi guys,
I'm looking to sell my ML350 2006 W164 - but the engine light has come on citing faults regarding the coils, emissions air pump and tumbler flap fault (2 stage intake manifold).
We had the faults with the coils repaired but the engine light still came back on. We were told that the air pump and tumbler flap fault are the same issue so we are about to purchase a new intake manifold. Will replacing the intake manifold actually turn the engine light off?
The fault read "Tumblr Flap intake manifold: short circuit to ground sensor lines/tumble flap shafts stick in actuated position"
We also had the following fault: "CAN signal 'torque request' from control unit "transmission' is implausable" - but no mechanic we have seen so far as commented on this.
We would like to spend as little as possible to repair it because we want to sell it but realistically, no one will buy it with an engine light on and that is our main concern.
Any help or guidance provided will be greatly appreciated!
