Power steering pump
I am installing a new power steering pump with new pulley.
Is there anything else I should purchase?

What 350, gas or diesel? If it's diesel, supply full vin # as there are different part numbers.

Interesting, I had a leak on my ML500 as well and the local repair shop insisted on replacing the pump, also insisted on replacing the steering rack as it also had a leak. That was before I found this forum, thanks for sharing your knowledge with us!

Since I wrote the post above I have received the vehicle back and it is going really well. I was really happy till I noticed there was STILL a power steering fluid leak, not fun since I am very far from home and no real support close! Thinking of Maj Dundee's post I did some investigation and yes, the leak is where the reservoir feeds the system!! Not much I can do now, I did manage to find some MB power steering fluid so I will simply have to top it up regularly till I get back to civilization.....

Seems like I spend a lot of money on a fix that was the wrong one. Sadly I only discovered this forum AFTER the ML500 was already in the process of being "fixed"....

Other than this little issue I am really having fun with the ML on some African back roads.
