15 chimes when starting, is that normal??

15 chimes when starting, is that normal??
Driving my daughter's ML, which I don't do often. I count 15 chimes when starting and I don't believe any of my other MB's chime that many times. Is it trying to tell me something?

I've read it; seems the only relevant passage is "Sequence of seat belt reminder warning: In countries with a legally specified seat belt reminder warning the seat belt warning lamp is always actuated for the first t = 6 s (± 2s)."

You keep asking how many times mine chimes. And the answer is never except when I initiate one of listed scenarios in the PDF.
It is obvious that you might possibly have a problem with the key in ign. while the door is open, even though it is not.
You need a scanner type reader to check for codes in all 25 modules, as your code reader will not do the job.

In searching for info on this topic I found THIS THREAD in the W203 Forum where many members - including Super Moderator Glyn M Ruck - commiserate about the 15 chimes at startup in that model. In that thread, members determined it is the seatbelt chime, and if one buckled the seatbelt and closed the door before starting, as I'm guessing you do, no chime sounds, which I have just determined is also the case in our W164. I did hear a femle voice say "Voltage normal, Bluetooth disconnect" upon starting (I did not have my phone).
