Overboost and Underboost issues
On my 2008 ML320 CDI the vehicle is going into Limp mode at times. It seems to happen once the vehicle warms up and under moderate to heavy acceleration mostly but I can not make it happen on demand. Also once it pops into limp mode it stays there until a key cycle. And sometimes it will drive quite a while without an issue and others it happens rather quickly. Also, it will throw a code sometimes but not always when it starts acting up. And the code is usually a code for Overboost but sometimes it’s an underboost code. Due to the fact that sometimes it indicated over and sometimes under I replaced the “boost pressure sensor,” thinking it was incorrectly reading the pressure, with an OEM part from the dealer but it did not solve the problem. Any thoughts? I was thinking that it may be the turbo actuator which at least in my head makes some sense but not certain. Thanks

I wish I did. But I do not. Anyone in the Cincinnati area with MB Star system or another Scanner to read the MB codes who happens to view this please message me and I’ll pay for your time and equipment plus a beer or 2 during the process. Was thinking of ordering the icarsoft MB II which I believe will but this baby has 247,000 miles and it my last MB in my garage and not sure how much longer I will have it.
