ML500 rescue project!
There has been an ML500 abandoned in my neighborhood for awhile. After knocking on the door and 2500$ later, here it is:
the first bit of help I need is stopping the water.
the rear quarters are full, the inside of the windshield is super humid, and the dash is moist.
obviously I was trying to fix the rear hydraulic lift but the solenoid is toast.
not sure where or how water is getting into the rear.
i pulled the plugs and am letting her dry out.
100k miles, she was worth saving I thought.

Congratulations! Post your progress in the W164 section, this is a well documented situation. It is either the rear tail lamp gasket or rear glass seal that lets the water in. The rear SAM is often affected.
