CEL light on, dealer says I need a new AdBlue Pressure Line Heater. Is this a separate pressure line outside the AdBlue tank, or is this actually the in-tank heater unit. If separate, does anyone have any experiences replacing it??
Also, I deleted the AdBlue system with an aftermarket module. Does the system still use the remaining AdBlue, and how can you tell the system is actually "AdBlue-free?"

2011 W164 BlueTec diesel.

Thanks.

This is the line that runs external from the adblue tank to the high pressure injector on exhaust. The line has a mesh type heating element that only runs when temp drops below 10c i believe.

I had to change mine it's very straightforward to do but they charge a completely ridiculous $700 for the part here in Canada.

but you mention you have a adblue delete, then i would check to ensure you're scr delete module actually works properly as it should be circumventing these.

Thanks for your reply. It was very helpful. I am thinking that the SCR system needs to be fully functioning for the delete module to totally cancel out the AdBlue requirement. Would you have the Mercedes part number for the heater line, assuming you have a W164 model. Mine is a 2011 model year. Thanks in advance for your reply.

It is item number 200 on that diagram, but if you call a decent Mercedes parts dealer they should be able to verify for sure the part number. Also the sprinter one isn't compatible line run is different.

Yeah it could depending how comfortable you are with working on it that way. Lot easier if you put it on a lift.
