Which H7 headlight LED bulb adaptor
hello.
I bought this H7 LED headlight bulb from amazon, and i know i need to buy an adaptor so the bulb is in place. I have been unsuccessful on buying the right adaptor. So far i bought 2 adaptor, and they dont fit well. it doesnt "twist" in place as the ear is too low , and the circle diameter of the adaptor itself is too big.
This is the LED bulb i bought.
These are the 2 adaptor that i tried so far, and they dont fit. So i returned them.
For anyone who has done this before - can you let me know WHICH adaptor did you buy? Mine is a 2009 ML350 W164.

i just bought another adaptor and it still does not fit. this is the third one that i bought on amazon that claims that will fit for ML350

I have a 2008 ML550, so I believe they should be the same sockets. Firstly, are you converting from H7 halogen (not Xenon)? If so, the first adapters you listed on this post (02-15-2020 @ 12:25 PM) should work. The locking "ears" are not directly opposite each other, but slightly offset by about 10 degrees. The second adapters you showed have the "ears" directly opposite so will not work. I converted my H7 halogens to LEDs with the offset adapters and they worked just fine.
Actually, you can modify the existing H7 halogen adapters with careful use of a Dremel - that is what I did.

I have replaced both on my 06 ML350 and they take different adapters for each.
They are not totally easy to replace, but they will work with some patience. And with most of the HL LED lamps, you will not be able to use the dust covers after, as they stick out too far. I found this lamp to be very bright (20,000lm) and quite short. I used these as my Highbeam lamp.

I just purchased some 360 H7 bulbs for my 2015 ML350, they work great with the projectors and high beams, perfect pattern, no scatter or shadows. But I am getting flicker failure. I am trying to find out what value of resistor I need for the correction. Any feedback appreciated, as I spent 4.5 hours putting in the clips and bulbs, and really prefer not to pull them out to drive at night. Thanks!
