Hi guys new to the forum. I have a 2008 ml320 that is giving me fits. Vehicle started loosing power got down to about 45 mph top speed. son was driving at the time. No warnings shown on dash. he pulled over and called me. I told him to shut down engine and restart. He then drove one mile at reduced power and shut down engine. I went next day to vehicle and attempted to start engine was frozen up. Had vehicle towed home where it sat for a couple of weeks. put socket on end of crankshaft would only turn about 1 degree. I then removed injectors and tried turning engine again same thing. Removed engine from vehicle mounted on engine stand and engine turns no problem. Put torque converter back on transmission and it turns no problem. Does anybody out there have a clue whats wrong. I would like to know areas to check before reassembly.
