W164 ML63 AMG 22” RIMS, STAGGERED WIDTH....🤔
Hello
i have a W164 ML63AMG 2007 on stock 20”, I’m having a hell of a time trying to find the correct tyre size where I live here in Qatar, what I can get is double expensive....!! But very hard to find....
i have the chance to purchase very cheaply a set of 4 22” AMG alloys I believe from a GLS or GLE (please correct me if I’m wrong on this!!), the problem is, although they’re all 22” there are 2 that are 11” wide and 2 that are 10” wide. I’m assuming in essence there is no problem to fir them in the car, 11” at the back 10” at the front but can anyone tell me what the correct tyre sizes would be please....?? Another assumption but I’m guessing also, need correct rolling radius all round to 1. Not interfere with the TPMS and 2. Not to mess up the ESP (speaking from experience, I know even different tread depths across the 4 tyres can cause havoc with ESP!!)
I’ve read somewhere that for stock AMG 22”, the tyre size needs to be 295/30/22 but I don’t know if that’s for a 11” or 10” wide rim...!! 😩
Any help gratefully received, thank you... 🙏🏼
PS: if it’s not going to work, the tyres I need to buy for my stock 20” will be almost as much as buying these 22” plus new tyres...!!

What is the offset if your OEM and the new 22" wheels?
there should be a stamp on the inside of the wheels, ET followed by two digits. The offset will help determine if the wheels will clear the suspension of your ML63.
Have a look at this, but ignore the offset I entered or you can correct it once you know the correct value.

The goal is to have the a tire/wheel combo which will be close in diameter to your OE setup. For 22", the tire size looks to be 305/30. You can go wider, but your speedometer display will be slightly off and your sidewall will be lower as well, not much to protect the wheel from curbs or potholes. I am not sure how good roads are where you live. The speedometer are not 100% accurate anyway, unless you're using GPS.
To determine if the new wheels are from the model you think they are, inside the wheels there is a part numver stamped as well. You can reference it online to find out. Make sure they're for SUV to be sure they will handle the weight of the ML.
Also, I would be looking to use the same size tire for the front and rear, regardless of the difference in the wheel width. That will eliminate the TPMS and ESP concerns. A tire shop should be able to confirm if they can mount a specific tire to a 10 and 11"wide wheels.
