M/B does not have replaceable parts for the bearing.

What is the link for the bearing you are using?

Her is a similar model Youtube video for replacement.

Yes, dealer doesnt sell the bearing alone, they sell the whole driveshaft.
Driveshaft on the video you sent me has U-joint and its just pull apart. Cant pull mine apart to replace the bearing, spent 2 hours today try to figure out how to pull it apart and still no luck.
I cant believe that none replace there support bearing on W164 by now. Plus why would they sell it on Ebay if it cant be replaced

I really think it was designed not to be able to separate it. Other models you are able to.

It's your decision to make. Maybe you should invest in the repair assistant,

Let me know how it worked out.

Looks like MB spend some time and figured out how to screw us again. We cant just replace cheap bearing we have to buy brand new shaft, that way they got job security.
Well i bought a good used shaft with 80k on it ,mine had 110k on it and it was very noisy and free play so hopefully its still smooth on the one i order.
And i think i know how to split in now, ill try it next week. Seems like it has a sealed cover its pressed and shaft comes in to a rubber boot. If i am right, it got a snap ring behind just like wheel Axle that goes in to a differential. A good yank will snap it out only thing that will hold it will be the rubber boot. Doesn't hurt to try, plus i wont care even if i mess it up because i got a replacement.
Will keep you posted.
Shame on MB for this trick of making more $$ on us.
Thank you Mr Dundee. Happy Holidays!

I tried but looks like you can only add that option before buying bearing.
I am jut surprised that none tried to replace the support bearing yet, so many W164 out there. Pretty sure they dont less more than 150K miles bet they start going out after 100k miles and get noisy

Then contact the seller and ask him if he can guarantee that he can give you removal & installation instructions for your vehicle?
