Corroded Rear Brake Lines

The two brake lines on my 2009 ML550 going to rear are both pretty badly corroded, with one of them having a small leak where a bracket holds them to the cab at around the B pillar.

I'm having a hell of a time finding the right part numbers.

I dropped it off at my local repair shop tonight, but I have a feeling they are going to bang me for $1000-1500 to change these two lines, and I know they are only about $100-150 each from MB based on other models I've seen mentioned on other threads, so I might do it myself if I can get the right part numbers.

It seems like a relatively easy job after removing the 3,000 nuts and bolts that hold the undercarriage covers in place.

I had same problem. Just my car is R class, but they are not far apart by chassis and parts. What i done is i bought a length of brake copper pipe, couplings suitable sizes pipe cutting, pressing tool to attach the coupling to the pipe. Then removed old pipe, laid it on floor and made a copy from this copper pipe, refitted a new copy. Way cheaper that getting an original part. To get access i had to partially drop fuel tank as well cause pipe gets behind it. Did not take too long, maybe a couple of hours.

Same question was recently posted in the W221 S-class forum. Investigation showed that Mercedes does not sell pre bent brake lines for those vehicles, just lengths of straight pipes to be bent when fitting. Could be same thing for 164.
