I'm looking for the best overall options for covering/protecting the seats in my 2006 ml350. the bottom seat cushion is starting to show tiny rips and I'd like to keep them from getting worse. Every site that I go to offers custom seats but when i enter my model they don't have anything for it. I thought this was a pretty popular vehicle so hoping that someone out here might have had some experience. The biggest issues I "think" that i'm running across are the 60/40 split rear seats with lifting bottom cushions and just trying to find something that's not going to look all strapped in for the front. (would be great to still have access to behind the seat netting and such but obviously not absolutely necessarry.
I've even looked at just seat bottom replacements but I'm guessing I have to completely remove the seats to get to this?

 

Roughly $500 on ebay for a used seat bottom cover. Over $1,000 for a new one that may not match your color.

Other options are an automotive upholstery/custom shop or a garden variety seat protector.

 

I thought I'd seen some seat bottoms on Ebay for under $100. Are these not legit? but yikes...just with as many custom seat covers taht I've seen for vehicles I'd figure there HAS to be something custom for such a popular vehicle series.
