Power steering malfunction

Hello MBW members

I need some advice to my problem with the power steering malfunction, I get 2 issues. when the car is running I get the power steering malfunction warning light come up but the power steering still works and it will go off after time. If the car is stopped i get the warning light but the power steering pump isn’t working. The issue seems to be the fuse box in the engine bay as when the car is still running all i have to do is open the case lid of the fuse box the pump starts up, so obviously there’s a connection fault. A mechanic said that I have to change the whole fuse box as its sealed from underneath. Is this just as simple as swapping out the box and does anyone have recommendations for purchasing parts.

Many thanks
