2014 E63 AMG

Replacing the front console cigarette lighter socket

2006 ML350 4Matic - My front console lighter socket keeps blowing fuses and I want to replace the socket itself. I have the tray out but can't find any way to remove the lighter socket from it. Anyone have a video or walkthrough on how to remove it to replace with a new one? Thanks in advance!

Thank you for the reply but I am not sure exactly how you would do that, it is almost sealed in the holder. I cannot access the socket from any angle, see pics.

@Maj. Dundee Thank you again but still no luck, it won't budge.

@lkchris that must be why! I think I'm just giving up at this point lol. Not worth the hassle with 4 other outlets in the car.
