Merc ML advice needed before purchase
I’m thinking of buying a Mercedes’ ml the person said there’s a light on the dash coming on to do with the wheels / tyres he said it’s something to do with the car thinking it’s should or shouldn’t have 19” tyres on it and not to worry about it should i be worried does this even make sense
Also the engine management light is on and he said he drove it to Scotland from Essex like it and it’s fine not to worry about this to and I know he did drive it there and back it’s 2006 3L diesel it’s for sale for £3k please dnt judge but not sure if all models this year do this but it rises up and down has a big stereo with maps and DVD player all leather good condition on the outside 170.000 miles any help would be appreciated thanks

Whatever the guy says it's fine, it is not. He's trying to pull a fast one over you.
First red flag is a light on due to wheel size. The car doesn't care what wheel size you have. Most likely there is a wheel speed sensor problem or some other ABS problem.
CEL. Unless he tells you exactly what code it is, don't take his word that there are no issues. Have him tell you what the codes are, determine what problems they indicate, and then verify that the codes are what he said.
Honestly, unless you're a very good DIYer, I would run away from this car. The fact that the guy is trying to brush problems under the rug is a huge red flag, especially the bit about a light being on due to wheel size. If you are a good DIYer, you better be getting it close to free. You can easily be in for 10k worth of work with that much mileage.
