Air Intake Temperature Sensor Location

I have a 2007 ML320 SDI with an intake sensor error code. I have purchased the part, but I don't know the location of the part. Can someone share a diagram or explain the location?

Look on the left hand (US driver's side) air filter.
At the center of motor top there is a black air intake horn (some folks call it the batwing). Car has 2 air filter boxes.
You want the left one, for the sensor.

Perhaps it is disconnected or loose/not clicked in all the way?
Or needs replacement. or problem with wiring to it.
