2010 ml350 no dashboard lights, no crank, everything dead

2010 Mercedes ML350 4matic w164
2010 ml350 no dashboard lights, no crank, everything dead

2 weeks ago got new main battery, new fob batteries, starter relay in engine fuse box, removed EIS from dash cleaned lens with cue tip and Alcohol. Car ran nice for one day. Next morning tried to start it up,, the dashboard lights came on for 3 seconds then all went dead, it never turned over, got right brake light bulb out on dash then no power anywhere. put battery charger on for 24hrs. When I checked charger was solid RED and not solid GREEN to indicate fully charged. I don't know what that means the solid RED. MAYBE BAD NEW BATTERY OR A SHORT CIRCUIT.

So I checked all fuses in engine box, passenger box, storage box are good. With no power cannot move passenger seat forward to check fuses in battery box. FYI, my E90 Icarsoft scanner gets no power either when connected to ODBII port under dash. Pulled bottom 2 right rake bulbs are good, no corrosion but saw a little puddle of water in bottom frame under storage fuse box. Nothing was wet. I do believe there was a heavy rain the night before issues. COULD THE REAR SAM GOTTEN WATER INTO IT? I plan to locate and inspect tomorrow. Help is appreciated.

Remove the rear SAM and then remove both plastic covers and check for corrosion on both sides of the board.

Best silicone glue to reseal brake light housing?

Yes I will remove the rear SAM and post and update.

Whats a good silicone glue to seal the reseal the right rear tail light. It looks to be tight but water got in somewhere. Also where might the rear drain be, if there are some on the 2010 ml350 4matic?

The seals were defective from the factory and upgraded new ones should be replaced and bought from M/B only.

The drain plugs are on metal flooring. See flooring PDFs.

ISM failure and SAM got wet.

Need to have ISM repaired service . The ISM INTELLIGENT SERVO MODULE gets stuck between park and neutral gears and this keeps power running from battery when car is off, thus drains new battery. Will drive fine for a few days then ISM gets stuck again. Shipping it off for service this wk.

Replacing bad ISM with good donor module


Has anyone done a DIY ISM repair and when recieved back from renew/unlock service the ISM ( Intelligent Servo Module) after installed back to transmission was plug and play? But then he says it may need recoding later. Seems a bit a contradiction .

The hole above exhaust feels like something is holding it onto transmission side. I got all 4 bolts out and gear loose ftom tran. 2010 ML350 4MATIC. WHAT DO I NEED TO DO TO FINISHE PULLING IT OFF? WHEN I PRY IT FEELS LIKE THERE A RUBBER BACKING HOLDING IT.
