2011 ML 350 - High Idle at Start and it does not kick down.
All:
I have a 2011 ML 350 and when I start it - it goes to a high Idle around 2,000 PRM and when I put it in drive it does not kick down. I am not sure how to reset the idle. I noted in my search that older ML models could potentially reset do this by simply turning the Key to the start position without pushing it over to ignition. Then leaving it in that position for 3 to 5 minutes. The system would simply recalibrate or reset itself. But, this model has a push button start. So, I am not sure what the equivalent would be. Any help would be appreciated.

This place is a joke.
Just make sure they haven't slid up against the gas pedal. The only other thing you can do is check for codes. This could be something as simple as a faulty gas pedal, or more complex like an engine vacuum leak. A competent technician can probably isolate the fault quickly once they see the car.
