Removing parts to access locking mechanism on 2010 w164

Hello, I have an issue where the lock post rod that connects to the locking mechanism has come off. It is the right rear door.Does anyone know if there are instructions, a video , or anything helpful in reattaching the rod? The car will not lock without it attached. Thank you!

Where does the bottom of the rod attach in the assembly?

Hello, thank you for the procedure instructions. My only remaining question is, where does the rod actually attach in the assembly? Is this picture correct? Thank you for your help!

I'm not too sure, but I would say it is attached horizontally as in the the photo.

Youtube video.
Yes it is horizontal.
