Unhappy Is my ML350 Dead

Greeting MBWorld community,
My ML was parked in the rain for a couple of days and I suddenly heard the horn go off in the middle of the night. Came down and found the car with the "SRS- Restraint system malfunction, Visit workshop" warning light and much of the electronics not working. I took the car to a local non-MB shop and got a scan done with all sorts of faults. The shop technician said some or all the SAM units are gone due to what I assume is a leak somewhere. Is it possible for all or a few of the SAM units to go out because of this or can one bad SAM unit cause the other SAM units to show faulty? I have attached the entire scan results. The car ran great before this incident with no major issues and now wondering if it can be resurrected. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks
PJ

You will find a heap of threads on this if you search Rear SAM in this forum. Water ingress through rear taillights, side windows, sunroof and rear tailgate have all been reported. The Rear SAM is typically in the right hand side trunk well and is attached to the inside if the quarter panel about half way up. Some later models have them under the rear seat. They get wet and corode. They can be cleaned but if yours is seriously corroded, you can source a 2nd had one but will need it coded for your car. There's plenty of youtube content on this as well. Good luck

Thank you BlackML550. I was wondering if a bad rear SAM can show a faulty front SAM or vice versa. Thank you again.
