ml320 CDI no start

ml320 CDI no start
have a 2009 ML320 CDI RHD, Drove the car to work this morning without any issues and parked in the parking lot.
at midday i decided to make a run to the pharmacy. put the key in the ignition and nothing, car has no electrical power no lights no horn nothing. I am stumped please help

False alarm turns out it was a battery issue. strange thing is we tested the battery and its reading ok, even has the little green indicator.
But does not hold a charge. As soon as i swapped in the new battery car starts and works fine.

I had a similar situation with an Alfa Romeo Giulia we owned a couple of years back. The battery supposedly was charged, but the instant you put any load on it, it acted dead. Replaced the battery and all was well.
