Question ESP Fault 5908 - BAS Solenoid Valve

hi im getting ESP fault on '06 ML350
code is 5908 which states Component of VC02 (BAS Solenoid Valve) or the lead has short circuit
im trying to identify what part that is and where it is located?
any help?
this came after bad starts with possibly bad battery... i replaced battery and cleared codes but this does not go away so maybe need to check part and wiring but need to figure out what that it is 1st

A bad battery can trigger all sorts of codes. Check the new one is at least 11.7v engine off and 13.7v engine on. If so, you battery/charging system should be OK. But start there first (for any codes) as a drop in voltage (no matter the reason) plays havoc with modules which don't react well to even a small drop in voltage. Don't underestimate this or that your new battery is a dud. That's possible as well.

I've attached the documents relevant to the BAS module. Hopefully they help you.

in morning cold weather 5C outside new battery measures exactly 12.0V so should be good, and when engine started 13.5V at warmup cycle
will review docs to see whats VC02

so my battery gets drained to 0 in 24h now, given that code shows that there shortage on BAS solenoid valve i disconnected that connector and checked is there short to ground so far no suspicious finding BUT any chance u have access to connector pint out for connector
i wnat to make sure wiring is good, after that some how need to see if i can get my hands and remove valve seams very inconvenient location ((

yes fixed. apparently W164 had recall on break booster, and solenoid is part of booster so i took car to dealer and checked about recall. 2 days latter they called me said booster replaced and if i want to take care of other things like code on solenoid which i obviously said no
they gave m car back and all good now (they had to clear out solenoid code as its part of booster but they wanted to scheme me a little)

if you car had already recall preformed, i guess you would need to replace it yourself. I found some cheap once on ebay
