MERCEDES BENZ ML350 V6 PETROL 2006 MODEL
engine briefly stalls whilst driving, the first lights that come on when the engine briefly stalls are the exclamation yellow light, car red triangle, LIM yellow light together with the SRS and engine light, thereafter they disappear and engine comes back on with the engine check light coming on together with the exclamation yellow light and ESP error message.
The local garage computer indicates the replacement of the intake manifold, very costly here where I live, between $ 1500 and $ 3000.

I also replaced the lever actuator that is attached to the front center of the intake manifold with an aftermarket aluminum piece as the plastic ones are the issue as they tend to break and then it renders your intake manifold flaps useless.
Do you have any mechanical aptitude?
If so the job isn't that hard as every wire and plug you have to remove is specific to where it needs to go so there is no mixing up the plugs.
The hardest part of the job was getting the gaskets to stay in place while putting the manifold in at an angle and sliding it into place.
The first time I did it my gaskets shifted after about 6 or 7 months and I was getting a misfire on cylinder 2. I had to take it out and put new gaskets in and so far, knock on wood, it's been fine since. Of course doing it the second time went a lot faster than the first because I knew what I was doing but the whole job, via doing it the first time, takes about 4 hours or so in total.

Changing parts on these cars is expensive so be sure you've diagnosed it properly before you warm up the parts canon.
