2010 ML550 rear of car "wobbles" slight over some bumps

My 2010 ML550 I notice just a slight wiggle of the rear of the car when driving over certain bumps at typical speeds I would say 35mph and up when in car myself. Mercedes changed the front shocks not too long ago and wondering if its rear shocks causing this or something else like a bushing? Mine does not have air suspension, just standard set up. Its not really bad, I just notice it here and there, I had it aligned but they said it was dead on as well. I did however notice the other day we had 5 people in the ML and hit a bump and the car moved more than normal in the rear of car, my son was driving and he said what was that!? Just wondering what everybody thinks?
Car has been serviced at Mercedes since new for everything and it has 135k now.

You sure you don't have air suspension set to comfort mode in the back?

I’d lean towards the rear shocks being tired. Just not properly controlling motion anymore.

Thats what I am thinking, I know they should show sign of leaking if they are bad too, I need to get in the air and see if I can tell anything. I just wondered if there is a bushing in the rear that would cause that, if just shocks pretty straight forward

I dont have an ML but have a W204 with a little over 150,000 miles. Im pretty sure they were the original shocks and springs in there. When driving I would notice the back end all squirrely, the feeling when you are driving down a very worn road with ruts in it, I have the sports suspension so its pretty tight already but hitting bumps it felt like the springs were fully compressing bottoming out, it was harsh. The shocks had no signs of leaking but were rusty looking and the bushings at the bottom where the bolt goes were all swollen and cracked. I dont see your shocks having bushings at the bottom though so wouldnt make a difference. I decided to replace them and it made a noticeable difference, no more harsh hitting over bumps and the rear end feels much more stable. I actually replaced them with a used set I found on ebay with 40,000 miles for less than $100.

Installation of your shocks looks pretty straight forward similar to mine. Just remove the wheel well liner, unbolt it at the top and bottom and pull them out it looks like. To install mine i compressed them down then used string and zip ties to hold them like that while fitting them in instead of fighting with them. i made a thread, kind of long with all the work ive done. https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...uspension.html

I was looking at the suspension and rear end diagrams for the W164.172. https://nemigaparts.com/cat_spares/e...fg/164172/63j/

Thank you very much for all of this. I will check shocks next to see.
