Greg, I do not recall what the manual says but on mine I set it with the mirror switch on the right (Pass side) mirror and it works normally.

I tried all of the tips listed, but nothing has worked. If I leave the passenger mirror selector on all I get is a pretty little red light, still no tilt. I went through my settings menu and there is no "Convenience" option, only "Comfort" and under that menu there isnt anything about tilting mirrors, only the option to have the outboard mirrors auto-fold on parking. I've scoured my manual back to front twice and havent found any answers.
At this point I'm getting ready to take the suv in to the dealership to make them make it work. Unfortunately, where I park is a strangely shaped street and even with the back-up camera active its tough to get nice and close to the curb without risking hitting it.
Help me out!

... YAY! ) and had the passenger tilt-down feature activated through STAR Diagnostics. After it is activated, you program the setting like you normally would (right mirror activated, adjust mirrors to desired position, press memory, then press down, etc...)*Note: you will not see this feature listed under the convenience settings after it is activated through STAR.

Window switch that is from 2006 and older cars that share the same switch layout you have to go into the menu to activate this feature.
2007 and newer the programming is in the drivers windows. The caveat is LH or RH drive
