EIS Issue

Will a faulty EIS still light up the dash and crank but the Engine won't start?

YES. I would start out with a good code reader to read the faults.

No codes with the reader that I have - Autel MD808 Pro which is decently accurate.
Am getting a better reader later today.

Would you be able to help with a list of what all needs to happen for a successful start?

Currently :
- Dash Lights All On
- Engine Cranks
- Tank Pump can be heard and I see Diesel when I remove the outlet Pipe from the Fuel Filter
- Have replaced the Starter Relay and also see 12.1 volts at location 87 as per the scan tool
- Have replaced batteries in the Key
Just received a Crank Position sensor but am pretty sure that I saw RPM Data while cranking the engine.
As per my diagnosis list I only have the EIS which I am comfortable taking apart and soldering but all online EIS failures seem to have no or limited dash lights and no crank.

Would appreciate any help.
Cheers,
Andrew
