Hello to all my fellow benz owners. I am having some weird behavior with my transmission lately. It's 2007. 320 cdi, with 200km(around 130tm). My shifting is usually pretty smooth, except that notorious 2-1 jolt when cold. The last few days I noticed that when shifting from 4-5 I would say from about 40mph(60kmh) it jumps from 2000rpm to 2200rpm and then shifts up. Like slight slipping? I guess. Really don't know if that's appropriate term. Trans oil change was carried out maybe 7k miles ago, with new filter. Reading online I cannot pinpoint what's the potential problem, from low oil, conductor plate, solenoids, valve body. I mean everything for everything, no dtcs on scanner.
Today I performed trans reset and went for a cruise, everything seemed buttery smooth, but it happened again on my way home only once but it's still there. So if you had something similar to your 7g gen1 please share.
Go to the X-164 and read the posts about the Solenoid O-rings. Search my post if you cannot find the info. It’s too bad you didn’t drop the valve body on the last fluid change but you will probably be headed that direction.
Have you ever taken a valve body out before? Did you do the fluid change ?
It is very common to see the Orings like this
Thanks vesiadog, I have read your post on gl forum. So to answer your question I didn't do the oil service by myself, and I doubt they drop the valve body and cleaned it.
So you suggest cleaning valve body, solenoids, replacing o ring on solenoids and eventually putting it back in with fresh oil and filter could do the trick.? I remind you it only does this rpm jump in one gear, thats boggling me..I need to investigate if this o rings can be shipped to my country.
