Exclamation W164 seat belt tensioners and crash system

hi all! can anyone offer advice: the seat pretensioners in my W164 ML350 keep going off! constantly. the front passenger seat lowers as well, all part of the pre crash safety system fitted to my car. anyone know what the fix is? is a crash sensor going nuts or is it a fault with the entire seat belt system? if i take the fuse out for the pretensioners (no 24 i think - as a short term fix) will it have any knock on effect to any other system?

do u mean you are having problems with ur SRS, if so that it is most likely a sensor inside the belt buckle

It's srs

No.. it's not the srs... it's the tensioners firing off all the time. I suspect (hope) it's just a faulty crash sensor. But there's loads them!

Hi I know this is an old post but have been getting this same issue. Did you ever solve it?

I just pulled out fuses 24 and 29, which are the driver and passenger side seatbelt pre tensioners and taken the car for a 2 hour drive and it solved the issue. It has disabled the presafe system but i dont care.

@gillianmck Does pulling the fuses not leave the SRS light aluminated all the time?
