How to put ML320CDI in DPF Regen?
Hey guys. I got a DPF code and an EGR Flow code. I took the DPF to a local big rig shop, and they baked it out but I'm told I'll have to have the vehicle do a DPF Regen before the codes disappear. The EGR code also concerns me, though. The vehicle starts rough but will run and drive fine after the initial, rough start.
What's the easiest way to get my ML into DPF regen? All I currently have is an entry-level OBD-2 scanner.

The EGR fault code need to be solved, as without proper EGR function the regeneration can't be started, forced or natural.
On old M642 the silver pipe from EGR cooler to the mixing chamber is usually clogged, not the EGR itself.

The DPF code was more likely just a calculated virtual one. Maybe the guy from cleaning service already suggested as your DPF was already clean....

Whats a decent code reader/programmer that.I can upgrade to for a home mechanic? I need something a little more useful.
