2010 ML350 W164 4Matic - how to reset dash clock?
I recently replaced the Command in-dash radio with a Kenwood DNX997XR unit. It fits great in the dash. Replaced all speakers, added 6 channel power amp, installed dual sealed sub woofer, interfaced wheel volume controls and backup camera. Everything looks and sounds great. There is one thing that I notice though and that is that the dash clock is way out of time. Did the factory dash clock interface to the original Command unit to receive "time of day" clock data? Is it possible to manually reset the clock or have I lost the dash clock function for good? Thanks in advance!

With all the aftermarket head units I've seen, you usually can't change the clock in the dash. The only way to do it is disconnect the battery and when the real time matches the clock time, reconnect it and you're set to go.
Which head unit did you put in and are you happy with it?

You need Xentry to change a setting to allow the time be be changed via the dash display. It shows up as an option in the settings menu once enabled. BenzNinja programmed mine. The other way to do it is to disconnect the battery at noon or midnight, and the clock will reset to 12:00 once the battery is reconnected.
