2011 ML350 W164 OEM speaker replacement

After 15 years of music, my front passenger speaker (164-820-26-02) has died. Fortunately replacements are plentiful on ebay. I'd like to replace with the same speaker. Not looking to upgrade.

Is the replacement process destructive for an OEM replacement? Do I need to drill out the rivets as mentioned in this video?

Or can I just unscrew the 4 black screws on the face of the speaker?

You need to drill out the rivets.

The speaker is glued into the support with foam. So you would risk damaging the speaker when trying to remove.

It's pretty easy to drill out the rivets. I just then rivetted it back in. The biggest lesson is to tape the back of the rivets to stop them falling into the door.

That explains the rattling in the other door. What size drill bit would you recommend? As well as rivet size?
