I have heard about Xentry clones. I have thought about going that route but again don’t know enough about them. I feel like it would be worth it as going to MB five times would be around $700 for diagnostics.

ICarsoft will suffice for day to day diagnosis.

V4 has two way functionality so should be able to do at least some actuations for testing purposes.

I have a Xentry clone which I got for programming purposes during a retrofit splurge and it has served me well in that regard although I am now considering upgrading to the full monty rather than a cloned pass through unit.

That said I do also have an ICarsoft, all be it V2.0 and it's handy to have around as it fits in the armrest and is quick to check and clear codes. It also offers OBD2 basic code reading on all makes so handy for Check Engine codes etc on other peoples cars.

I have had that over 6 years and it's just starting to get temperamental so needs replacing, but for the $150 it cost it paid for itself the first time I used it.

Would you please be able to link me a clone that is reputable?
