Dynamic Handling Package featuring anti-roll stabilization system ..means it has a system against roll over or it has a system that disconnect the anti roll bar, for better off road performance?
no low range gearbox? central and rear diff. locker?
is what you write about the american version?
however thanks for the info

Meaning if 4matic will be standard versus an option? Why can't these cars have 4-wheel drive only when needed? 90% of it's life it never needs 4-wheel drive but when it does it would be nice to just turn it on versus always on?
Is it just me who asked this question?

no, if there will be an off road pack PRO, like the ml w 164 and all the GL sold in europe, with central and rear diff locker, low range gearbox, do u know if the w166 will have this option too?
the dealer ordering guide that you have is for the US market?
p.s. in europe ML just 4 matic

I would love to see the off road package from the GL offered on the new ML. I had it on my GL and it worked great and made it a true off road machine. My current ML has the air ride suspension but it is lacking in the off road ability department. I will probably consider the new Jeep Overland Summit if MB does not offer the off road package on the new ML.

4MATIC is a safety system not a oh crap im stuck thing.
It makes the vehicle drive better all the time thus helping with economy all the time. A part time sytem where 2 wheel is used 90% of the time you carry 400 lbs of dead weight that does nothing to keep you safe by better handling and control. Dead weight burns fuel too.
If you want 2 wheel get that and stay home when its bad out like I did.

That picture of the interior is of an "older" 166. Probably one of the first ones built. There are some slight changes to the production interior.....
