Tire and wheel question

I have an extra tire and wheel from my GLK size : P235/50R19 . I am buying a new 2012 ML which has a 8.5 J x 19 ET 59 wheel and a Tire Size 255/50 R19.

My question is will the old GLK wheel and tire fit on the ML and can it be used as an emergency spare in case of a flat tire? I know nothing about tire sizes and wheels..Thank you.

Post this in the W164 forum. The GLK tire is over an inch smaller in diameter and almost an inch narrower. Far from optimum. Might work as an emergency spare for short distances. Probably better off selling them.

Greg--- Thank you.. I just have 1 wheel and keep in in my garage. I feel it has to be better than the donut they give you in the trunk. I would just use it to get to the tire store.
