So reserved a black on beige p2 package ml today. Arriving early sept. Not our top color choice but only one coming with P2. mbusa really isn't doing too well giving us choices here with this launch. Oh well gonna go for a 2 year lease then get what we really want later.
So need to know tire size I'm gonna have to buy to put on some 20" AMG rims we have ready to mount.

 

What width are the rims? Are you talking standard package AMG rims or ML63 rims?

Didn't you have time to custom order your color?

 

Some aftermarket rims. They were on a friend's old ml. They are the thin 5 spoke rims that came on the older cls 55 AMG.
Custom order comes in november. These were the first models available and already came configured. We didn't get on it immediately, but I think custom orders were going to come a little later after the launch cars. My dealer said the next batch after launch was November.

 

Verify their width (and preferably offset, as well) to select tire size. Some CLSs came with a staggered fitment (8.5"F & 9.5"R) - verify if this is what you have. Staggered doesn't make a lot of sense on the ML, but can be done.

 

You know it would help a LOT if you could at least post the specs of your wheels before asking people through the internet advice for something we can't even see.

I could estimate and throw out some numbers, but I doubt it would help your cause.

 

That was my original question. Not making it complicated. IF you get the stock 20's what tire size does it come with?
These rims are knock offs. Not oem. So not staggered he had them on his 2009 ml 350

 

255/45-20 for an 8.5-9" wide rim. Your original post was not informative enough. They could have been 10" wide rims that would take a 295 tire.

I don't have the rims, my friend does. So I wouldn't be able to even tell any info on them.

Just have your friend measure them (inside the rim width) to make sure before you order tires.

 

My 2011 ML350 BlueTec Grand Edition comes with 265/45-R20 Contis.

 

Those would work fine (obviously). OD difference between the those and 255s is 9 mm, not enough to be significant.

 

OEM sizes for the W166 (not ML 63) as follows:

Code 757: 53.3 cm (21-inch) AMG 5-twin-spoke light-alloy wheels with 265/40 R 21 on 9 J x 21 ET53

Code 758: 50.8 cm (20-inch) AMG 5-spoke light-alloy wheels high-sheen finish with 265/45 R 20 on 8.5J x 20 ET60

Code R39: 48.3 cm (19-inch) 5-spoke light-alloy wheels with 255/50 R19 on 8.5 J x 19 ET59
