Wireless hotspot

How does this work? I've seen reference to a $500 option for the router - is there also a monthly subscription cost for access? If so, how much?

Fwiw, we spent the weekend test driving the W166, X5, Q7 and MDX. Our favorite, by far, was the W166. It would be a no-brainer decision if it had a 3-row, but we're still leaning heavily towards it.

TIA.

It's the same as a Mifi device that you can buy for about $125 and then pay AT&T or Verizon $25 a month. Except this one is not portable.

I understand how it works, I'm trying to figure out the pricing. I have seen reference to a router that costs $500. Is there also a monthly subscription costs - if so, how much is it?
