Just picked up my 2012 ML350 Gas. Totally happy with the choice. Its a great truck and a significant change over my '08 Ml 350.

The one thing I am disappointed in is the text messaging on the COMMAND does not integrate with my iphone4 because Iphone doesnt use something called MAP. BMW had a similar issue and introduced an iphone app called Connected which essentially integrates text messages, calendar items etc.
Apparently COMMAND/text messaging works fine with BB and android operating systems but if you have an iphone you cant get messages read out or notifications received on the new ML

Anyone else feeling the same frustration - anyone know of any work arounds.

i thought this function was disabled for north america due to lawyers and such. Does it really work with BB's? i have a 2012 and iphone 4 and 4S

to be honest i have only heard that it works with BB, so could be wrong.

If you go to the COMMAND web site there is a list of phones and what works with them. I also have the IPhone 4 and it say's it won't do texting.

Text display and audio playback does work with my BB torch. Although, it only displays incoming text messages.
