Smile 2012 BlueTech Keyless-Go Cold Weather Start

Soon to be new MB ML 350 and diesel owner and I was searching for information on how the key fob works in conjunction with the glow plugs. Does anyone have any information on how they work with the push button and the time needed to heat the plugs? Is it automatic? Thanks!

Yes. Fully automatic. It's the same way it works with non KG vehicles. When you click over the key, the glow plugs heat up then it starts automatically.

No problem.

These modern Mercedes diesel engines are not like the old generations where the plugs take forever to heat up in cold weather. Last year I started my 2010 ML350 Bluetec and the plugs took maybe 2 seconds to heat in -20 Celsius temps
