P95 Interior Sport Package

What does it include?

All I can find is the Sport Steering Wheel (pic attached). I read something about seats but no description or images.

Also, you get to select the aluminum trim.

Anything else?

I read somewhere that if you select heat/vent seats that you can only get Burl Walnut trim.

Sounds untrue. Can anyone verify?

From the Worksheet:

244 Front sports seats (no charge)
739 Alum. Trim (w/P95) (no charge)
801 Black Premium Leather (only w/ P95) ($1,370)

I'm concluding that sports seats are not part of P95.

I have the P95 on order. It does include the sport steering wheel and sport seats and I believe sport pedals.
With the P95 package you only have 2 choices of seat material. 601 or 801
The aluminum trim is only available with the P95 package tho you can get black wood

I will defer to GregW as he seems to have the most info & pics

244 sports seats come standard with the P95 package, along with the sport steering wheel and pedals. What I don't know is exactly how the sports seats differ from the standard.

Here is a photo of the 729 Anthracite Poplar trim.

GregW...what is the lever covered knob in front of the AC ?
Is the ML available with a manual transmission ?
Maybe that's why I see no shift paddles behind the wheel

Sharp eyes - I missed that! I have seen no mention in even Daimler Europe press materials of a manual option, even on the 250CD, nor did I see such an option on the German M-B configurator website. So, it's a mystery to me.

I could be wrong but I don't think that's a picture of an ML interior.

That's the C-Class facelift interior with Dark Ash wood trim. The ML gets Anthracite Poplar wood - different grain.

Does the sports steering wheel (P95) also come as a heated steering wheel?

I would prefer to have the heated functionality but we like how the sports wheel looks like.

The sport wheel is not available with heat, and also you can only get the sport wheel in conjunction with P95.

Also note that the pic Greg posted is the ML 63, not the P95.

No, unless the dealer order guide is wrong, that is the P95 Sport Interior wheel. I believe the ML63 wheel has Dynamica for the grips (see video posted under the lighting thread). MB has released conflicting information in many cases (e.g. fuel tank capacity).

The shift paddles are the giveaway. ML 63 gets aluminum paddles that stand above the "arms" of the wheel. P95 is a shorter black plastic paddle.

Also note the gauge cluster shown in the larger pic, which is ML 63 as well.

The ML 63 will have 2 steering wheels - the P95 style with larger paddles on the base model and the alcantara grips when the performance package is ordered.

EDIT: I just realized I am commenting on the pic you posted of the dashboard in another thread!! My bad.

So, it appears the P95 wheel and base ML63 wheel are the same, then? I would guess the shift paddles from the 63 might be retrofittable.

Ugh...I like the look of the sport wheel but will lose the functionality of the heated wheel.

However, my sales associate was able to add the heated steering wheel in conjunction with P95. It's a preliminary build sheet, so I doubt it's validity now.

Not sure why you need a heated wheel in Walnut Creek?

Ha! Good catch, Greg I admit, it definitely is more of a luxury feature - but we go to Tahoe in the winter a lot. Figured it would be great to have in the mountains.

Think we might be able to get the sports interior AND heated steering wheel as of right now, based on our build sheet. We'll see if it actually goes through.

Never missed the heated wheel here in the NW, however the seats I could not live without.

I think its one of those options that you don't really "need", but once you've had it, it's tough to go back!

Ahhh, so true. It would be nice but eh, guess we could live with out it.

Also, if anyone needs it, here are some pictures of the Anthracite Poplar (Black) wood trim, #729, from a ML. I've ordered this trim with the interior sports package with black leather (sport seats) and black headliner.

I'm changing mine to that, since you still get the aluminum bits for a little brightwork.

I think you're making a good decision. The full aluminum trim really decreases the luxury of the interior IMO.
