ML350 Question
Hello. I am getting ready to order my ML finally. I was looking at the ML350 4M. I am looking at a pretty decently loaded one. Im wondering when Mercedes will finally have the lighting package and sport package. My sales rep is saying with in the next 3 weeks for sure...is this true?
Thanks, and Happy New Year to all!

No one can deliver a new order in 3 weeks - to deliver in 3 weeks either the car is already on order and in the production queue, or they will dealer trade for a existing car at another dealer and transport it in (and transport their return trade to that originating dealer).
Ordering is a bit misunderstood - and also you need to have confidence in your dealer thru the orderng process.
The reason for that incentives and financing programs supported by MB corp are based on on month-of-delivery, and not based on month of order.
On basic MB programs available thru Tues Jan 3rd (December's programs run to the fiscal close of MB's month) you have (3) things in place: 1.9% financing up to 66 months (a real cost saver), payment credit for 2 months payments with a cap of total $1500, and a $2000 Conquest certificate (ie instant rebate) based on if you own a comparable model. If you are trading in a MB that is currently leased or financed thru MBFS - then that MB financed/leased trade in would also quality for up to 8 payments credit against the balance due.
All that said, no one can say what the future incentives will or will not be.
I like the value of the lighting package - but if you are buying a ML350 rather than a ML550 then most likely you will not see that lighting package delivered on a ML350 before June.
I hold my judgement on the "sport" package you are referring to until I see/experience it.
The lesson I try to share - if there is a ML on-the-lot you love to drive, with the key features you want, I suggest you strongly consider buying it.
December was the best month ever for 2012 ML's - and every dealer I know of sold way above their expectation - their was excellent selection and excellent incentives in Oct and early Nov - December the tap started running dry - if dealers could order more inventory for Jan and Feb they would, but they can't. Different ball-game and I reasonably expect Mercedes incentives may be cut back, since honestly they don't need to put as much out there when dealer inventories overall are low.
