My new ML350 Bluetec arrived yesterday!
I took delivery of my new ML350 Bluetec yesterday and finally the ML is what it should have been all the time!
I bought my first ML 320 (W163) back in 1998 after several years as a E-class owner. It was a short ownership mostly because I found the interiour quality poor and the build quality was not much better.
Since then, I left the ML (W163) alone until the W164 arrived in 2005 of which I had several including ML350, ML320 CDI, ML280 CDI and finally ML63 AMG.
I loved the W164, but I still found the interiour a bit cheep and the ride quality (sportiness and handling) was not up to Porsche Cayenne level (when the Porsche had the PDCC - Porsche Dynamic something. I found this out when I bought a 2008 Porsche Cayenne Turbo).
Now finally the new W166 is there with the light package and LED/Bi-Xenon headlights which look amazing.
My ML is fully loaded with AMG styling package, Edition 1 package with nappa leather in the dash/doors, Airmatic with Active Curve System (which is fantastic and with VERY SPORTY HANDLING), Keyless Go, Distronic, Panorama sun roof, Entertainment system in the back, HarmanKardon (which also is better than ever and as good as the Bose system they had in the W163 ML), 20" AMG wheels with studded Pirelli winter tires (21" ML63 AMG wheels in the summer).
After driving 300 km I must say I am very impressed! The handling is very car like and is quite simular to the E-class.
Regarding the design I was not totally sold from the pictures, but in real life it is amazing and the LED/Bi-Xenon headlights makes the ML very modern in the front and a leap in design compared to the W164.
The power from the 350 Bluetec is OK, but I will tune the engine after driving for some weeks.
I will keep you posted and post pictures the next days.

No.
Either Carlsson with 310hp/700Nm or Brabus with 308hp/690Nm which are using power boxes or Heron from Germany which are manipulating the carīs engine managementīs software.
I have used all tree supplier before and they all work good, with a preferance for Heron.
