GAS MILAGE
As for heated, not the case. More about my bull**** sensor tingling when I read your post and as someone who drove a diesel ML for several years and used to work hard to maximize fuel economy I have some experience that casts a shadow of doubt on your 30 mpg claim.
I have no problem being proven wrong hence my offer.
I went to see my grandmother in a nursing home - when I go down again I will keep you in mind.
If you aren't too busy this afternoon, go and drive 120+ miles at 65 and THEN take a photo of your screen showing the mpg with average speed of 65. If you can average 30 or better, your next tank of fuel is on me, I'll paypal you the money.
Jweezy has a gas ML350 which has much better driving comfort than a BLUETECH and if gets this stunning mileage, than its best of both world for him.....

You will no doubt see that the gas engine is a good engine, but nowhere near as efficient as the bluetec. I just completed a 1200 mile round trip with my truck, and there is no way in hell that i could have done it on just over a tank of gas. And that was with 5 people and lots of luggage - the truck was loaded. my hand calculated mpg was 30.
About the only way i would see that with gas is if i was towed down there one way and drove back...
The important thing is you love your car, and thats what matters. Use it well.

Keeping it friendly as mentioned, I have going on 9,000 (a lot of fillups)miles on my ML350. I have done every test possible, all city, I have not done a single tank that was 100% used by highway yet. We live in the D.C metro area and if you know anything about this place well...its busy.
To add - I have completed hand calculations (cell phone) in the past to see if I could rely on the system.
Also, if your siding with 2012 ML are you going to send me some money too?
I find that I tend to be less flatfooted if I am watching the fuel consumption.
I averaged 24.7 mpg on my 2nd tank in mixed driving (as per display, not calculated, and I reset after every fill). I did manage to get 30 mpg on one return trip of about 50 miles, almost all expressway.
Other relevant data: BT, now with 1100 miles on the odometer.

The diesel after driving it wasn't an option anymore, it was actually cheaper than my Steel Grey I have now.
I have not stated that the diesel isn't more efficient that the gas. I may contradict myself maybe by posting higher than expected mpg, however I am not arguing that the diesel could do better - for the extra 1,500 bucks - it should perform better.
Regarding the Cadillac, the fact that it is 72k should speak volumes. No wonder Mercedes can't keep up with demand.
