The engine roars and screams are muffled substantially inside the cabin when the stereo is on. Switch off the music and the engine will talk to you in all 8 cylinders and twin-turbo language.
A note for you: the delivery procedure was excellent as I would expect from this Dealer. They never asked me for a deposit on order nor a certified check. And as a courtesy, they have reserved for me a license plate starting with M63-xxx. Nice touch.
It's a beautiful truck - they're essentially sold out across Canada until December, and for good reason!

I'm driving an E63 wagon and I have to say, the 5.5TT is intoxicating! Windows down, always. I haven't driven the ML63 yet - hopefully soon!

Enjoy it in good health, and can't wait to see pics (especially of that beautiful interior).

Jean, which dealership did you buy from? Laval?

They have received my ML350 Bluetec, loaded, just last week and I will take delivery later this week. I like this dealership, no hassle, no pressure and very clean and professional. I hear that their service department is second to none in the area. Even better than Lexus!

mbden: Congratulation for your new car. You will be thrilled. Yes it is MB Laval. I bought from them half dozen cars since they started 18 years ago in a back alley. We the forums regular members are difficult customers because we know so much more than the SA's and we can be their real nightmare, because our expectations are higher. But once we pass this stage and move to the technical service it gets much, much better. They have highly capable TA's who show respect, courtesy and efficient service. If you book your service in advance they will provide you with a courtesy car on request or drive you in their limousine. Years ago, my previous experiences with Silverstar and West Island required twice the intervention of MB Canada President to rectify serious dishonest problems with each. Enjoy your ride.

2013 ML-63 AMG- 2010 C350 4matic
2 weeks impresion with my 2013 ML-63 AMG

The ride is more comfortable after adjusting the tires pressure to the lowest load and speed. The Dealer inflated them to the maximum speed of 250 km/h, that is 10 psi more than the lowest speed. The Designo Seats are very firm and supportive. I am now used to all the warnings from right and left. The “coffee cup warning” (Attention Assist) did not come out yet, and will not invite it out. The ECO Start/Stop takes some training to master. I learned that when modulating the brakes softly the engine will not stop. A hard push on the brake will result with certain stop. So far, I pressed the ECO Start/Stop Button only twice. The engine seldom stops on the numerous Stop Signs in town, but the rotation drops to about 300 RPM and ready to launch immediately. The Curve Control System keeps the cabin steady on fast exits. The steering is smooth, very smooth. I find it easy and superb when parking. There is no feedback from the steering, but the ride is very smooth on un-even street and roads which is a hallmark of our city. MB does not recommend pushing the engine beyond 140 km/h (88 mph) during the first 1000 miles. Are you kidding? It takes no time to reach 150 km/h. I think one of the best features of this car is its civilized behavior in city driving at any low speed or stop and go traffic. The Tail Gate opens and closes without fanfare, unlike my W164. The back of the rear seats is adjustable to three levels, which is a plus for different people or when loading cargo. I am so glad with my choice and look forward to may years of enjoyment.
Gripes: While this car is very good, it not perfect. It is missing the Surround Cameras which MB Marketing decided to launch on the GL model (bad boys). The Surround Cameras are a wheel saver while parking in tight places among stones, boulders and deep potholes. Also the TPMS requires multiple steps to come out. This should require a single step or dedicated button. Renault Safran engineers did it 10 years ago with a dedicated button on the computer screen.

The photos are taken in the dark and under sunlight to provide different views of the Designo White Porcelain Seats. I also took photos of the Ambient Light and the infamous ECO Start/Stop button.

Congratulations! My impressions are similar. I had surround view cameras on my X5 and have to say I don't miss them.

On a less happy note, the Airmatic Malfunction light came on yesterday evening and when I got home, the front of the car looked like a slammed fast and furious car while the rear was excessively elevated. Brought it in to the dealer today where they diagnosed a defective shock/strut. Part is ordered and they expect to the car to be ready tomorrow. The service department people were quite helpful and I was able to get a loaner. Hopefully this is a one off problem but it sounds like this occurs at some frequency with MB cars with airmatic.

My previous W164 Airmatic System was a headache. They had to replace four compressors and two pressure lines in six years. Yet it was so comfy I got another Airmatic. Hopefully the W166 will prove to be of a better quality. Time will tell.

Yikes!!!

Hopefully you are correct and the W166 is better.

Will you drive the car in the winter? If so, what is your plan for winter tires? I have the 20" wheels with summer tires and have been having a hard time finding a good option for the winter.

I also had multiple Airmatic problems (thankfully under warranty) and went it again, along with the complicated Active Curve system. I'm hoping reliablity has improved, but an extended warranty may be in order if I keep this a full model cycle as in the past.

My fourth compressor died just after the expiry of the initial warranty, but at only 50k km (31k miles). Total repair around $1k. The Active Curve System is the main reason why I moved to the ML-63. It was no longer available on the ML-550 in Canada and a special order will delay the build indefinitely. I have tested this system before on a Cayenne Turbo and loved it. The ML-63 exceeds the Cayenne Turbo in the ride quality, feeling, comfort and self confidence because of all these new technologies. I will consider the extended warranty in three years.

Yea, I wouldn't think that ext/int combo would look good, but after seeing the pictures, it looks awesome. Some say there should be contrast between the exterior and interior. That's why I ordered the Iridium silver/black leather. I think the combo of black/white interior combo in your car brings the contrast inside.

Honestly I did not try the full treatment of S mode yet. The red warning label is clear about moderate driving for the first 1500 km. Never exceed 140 km/h or 4000 RPM. But at speed of 130 km/h I noticed a firmer Steering in C mode and harder suspension and steering in S mode. At 130 km/h (81.2 mph) the engine was still about 2100 RPM. It stays below 1900 RPM while cruising at 100 km/h (62.5 mph).

The mods arrived early

Following a long standing habit since my first MB in 1975 when MB use to produce cars with full Chrome treatment, I installed Chrome frames on the headlights and rear lights. I will install the Stainless Steel footrest before spreading the winter mats.
The real color of the Diamond White came out after waxing the car properly.

Wow, I love the chrome frames on the lights. Are those custom or ordered?

Resolution of the airmatic problem. The left front shock had a leak. It was replaced under warranty. Compressor is OK for now.
