2012 Maserati Granturismo MC
It finally arrived
Well after months of indecision I pulled the trigger on replacing my wife's 07 S6 for a 2012 ML63 AMG. It was going to be a Cayenne S but after seeing and driving the ML63 AMG it was a simple decision. Getting one was another issue. So, although I wanted a Silver one I didn't want to wait until September and because its for my wife I was ok not getting the Performance Package.
After driving the ML63 for the past 3 days - its awesome! I would actually now consider this a real candidate as a DD for me.
Enough said, here are some pics.

- Black Designo interior
- Panoramic roof
- Rear Entertainment (didnt want it)
- Cargo Management
- Chrome accents (didnt want it)
- Running boards
- Rear heated seats
- Second row pass-thru

AMG_Fan: Congratulations. This is most encouraging because I just ordered a 2013 ML-63. I was also sold to the Cayenne S or Turbo not for performance but the real luxury equal only to Panamera.

Thanks for the great words. As a followup,
- I'll post pics of the inside soon
- The exhaust is fantastic, it has the richest sound I've heard in a car since I got the SL55 AMG. During the process I test from the Porsche Cayenne S, and Turbo and to me ML63 AMG sounds better. Also when in comfort mode it is very civilized.
- The suspension is incredible, hitting on and off ramps at the same speed i typically hit in the SL55 is very natural. No crazy body roll or white knuckled experience.
After the break in period, I'll really put the hammer down, but even now, in Sport mode and AMG Sport Plus suspension mode, the acceleration and torque is crazy.
The only true knock to the ML63 is I believe the interior, I think the interior on the Cayenne Turbo is much better. Don't get me wrong, the ML63 is great, but there is definitely some room for more sport/luxury as it relates to the interior. Also, as most AMG owners complain, more differential between standard ML's would be nice as well.

I agree with most of what you said except that I like the ML63 interior better than the Cayenne. You can make the cayenne nice but it costs a lot to do so. The ML Nav screen is also much better.
I was parked at an outdoor mall today and had a steady stream of admirers - many more than I have ever gotten in my M3, probably because it is a new model and ML63s are much more rare.

I also found the Cayenne Interior stunning with the center console borrowed from Panamera and the superb complete control panel. Also the possibilities of customizing it have no limit for those who enjoy luxury. However I felt cramped inside the Cayenne Cabin which is surprising for a SUV of that size. My guess is they stuffed it with so much equipment while forgetting the driver. By the way The total price for my own Cayenne S configuration exceeded the ML-63 because everything I wanted is optional.
