2012 Euro version ML63 headlights
I am looking for a part number for the Euro version left and right 2012 ML63 headlights. I have a MY13 on order and I want to swap them so I don't have to look at all that amber in there.
Thanks

I was thinking of changing them when I got my truck before even the months waiting I was hoping that they would be white instead of amber. But since then they have grown on me somewhat...
But still Would anyone know approximately how much the Euro lights would cost?

Euro bi-xenons
Just a WAG, but I would think over $1k for the two assemblies alone. However, there would be a large market for reselling your stock ones once the ancillary components necessary for retrofitting to halgoen-equipped vehicles can be figured out.

My guess is the fiber optic "light pipe" is the same and just the LED is a different color. Whether the LED is accessible is a question. It may well be within the sealed headlight assembly.

I think the OP could use the xenon headlamp from the 350 and 550 in europe as well, they will all have the white color. I think the ML63 headlamp unit may come at a price premium just because it is an AMG vehicle.

This is tough because there are many variants of the headlights (with/without Night View Assist, with/without ILS (Europe only), right hand vs left hand drive, etc.)
As far as I can see:
NAFTA Headlamps:
A 166 820 51 61 - Left
A 166 820 52 61 - Right
Euro Headlamps (with code 621 ILS for left-hand traffic, without 610 night vision):
A 166 820 61 61 - Left
A 166 820 62 61 - Right
Euro Headlamps (with code 621 ILS for left-hand traffic, with 610 night vision):
A 166 820 65 61 - Left
A 166 820 66 61 - Right
Again, I have no idea if these parts will work... they simply appear to be the best match based on what I see in EPC.

Hopefully the led is accessible for a swap. Problem then is the LEDs bulbs available are usually bluish white vs pure white.
Op could also be talking about the amber plastic in the lateral side of the headlight

It can be removed but requires heating and taking the headlight apart. You need lots of experience and guts to do it. I would never do it.

1,000 would be very cheap. Guys headlights are EXPENSIVE!
We needed new headlights for our BMW a couple months back - $3,500 installed and much computer work that only BMW could do. (bi-xenon and directional).

I too am looking for e-code headlamps for my '12 ML320BT. HOWEVER, I'm looking more for the euro left-hand drive headlight pattern as it is far superior than the U.S. spec and looks better too.
In reading my owner's manual, it almost reads that a MB technician can CHANGE the headlamps from left-hand drive to right-hand drive?!?! Is it possible that there is an adjustable plate to go from U.S. spec to LHD or RHD without purchasing new headlamp assemblies? The part numbers above seem to suggest no...
Any help I would greatly appreciate it.

Maybe there is no hardware difference between LHD and RHD lights if you have ILS?

Yes those are the hazards since both sides are lit. However I believe those are also the signals as well. I'm assuming they are white until you signal and they change to amber. I think they are using a multi colored LED's.

No, just like the US model, those are amber only and function for turn signals and hazard flashers. The linear LED optic below it is amber for North America and amber for the ROW.

I'm sure you guys are right because you have one in the driveway. Still got to wait for mine. I'm still confused though as to what's exactly different and the same. I'll have to find one to look at in real life.

1) torch/parking lamp is amber in NA, white in ROW, but uses the same lighting technology and design
2) reflector is amber in NA, clear in ROW
As others pointed out, the photo of the euro ML above has its hazard lights on. Those are not the torch lights.
