Active Lane Assist Scenario -pot hole

Will this feature keep me from quickly avoiding gaping pot holes by forcing me to stay on track despite my attempt to suddenly go around it without accelerating or turning on my turn signal?

Check out the owners manual. One of the things that disables the vibration warning of adaptive lane keeping is " you steer actively, e.g. swerve to avoid an obstacle or change lane quickly". This would lead me to believe that an aggressive movement like avoiding a pothole would not activate the braking function of lane assist. I have also been told (but I can't confirm) that activating the turn signal deactivates lane assist for 30 seconds.

Steel Grey 2012 ML350 is wife's
I have active lane assist & active distronic in my '13 SL550 and after 2,000 miles, the robot braking system works perfectly -keeping me in lane- when I "drift" over the solid line, while never activating when I drive aggressively.

Yes, the steering wheel vibrates when I pass over dotted lines without activating my turn signals.. but that's it.

I speed up and pass between vehicles with mere feet between the front and rear and the robot braking never activates, although the "double beep" and warning lights are flashing away.. LOL !!!

Bottom line is that I will never buy a new MB without the active lane and active distronic again.
