2013 ML550: Paladium Silver, Brown Satin Ash
Finally able to order an ML550 with leather!
Hurray! I was finally able to find a dealer who could order an 2013 ML550, without the issue with adding leather seating. It seems like a miracle...I had almost given up hope. Previously, putting in new order from scratch resulted in a denial of adding the black leather upholstery. However, the dealer located and was able modify a build already in process, after doing some 'horse trading' with another dealer for the build slot.
They say there still might be a chance the factory runs out of leather by the time they build my ML, due to the switch over in suppliers, and this would mean a delay. But at least I now have a fighting chance of not having to wait until January to get my car the way I want it. Delivery should be some time in November. I first started this whole process in March of this year, so this order has been a long time in coming.
One last thing I wish they could do is to delete the now standard running boards. They say the factory can't do it. Now I'm faced with taking them off after it arrives, basically do a reverse of what most people do they really want the running boards. Does anyone want running boards on their ML that has the AMG kit? 2012 or 2013 should be compatible. Maybe we can swap my running board for your twist bars?
