Lower production numbers for ML?

I was told by a dealer that MB is producing far fewer 2013 ML's now and that they are hard to come by. She made it sound like an intentional decision by MB to reduce production, not the production delays that I've read about elsewhere on this forum. She told me that 2000 fewer 2013's are going to be produced. Can anyone confirm?

Thanks!

According to yyz, US allocation has been lowered in favor for increasing MLs for international destination. It is a hot product that MB cannot keep up with. MB makes substantially more per unit outside of the US because they can charge higher prices. The US is a volume market.

I don't blame them. I would go with the money too.

Yeah - we get all the goodies plus prompt(er) production times. We just have to wait for it to get shipped 3/4 the way around the world!

Oh, and did I mention - we pay for it.

That makes plenty of sense to me and I think that's exactly what's happening

Looking at the delivery time in Europe alone. Almost a year to get an W166 ml (Asuming you want it with something special: designo for example)
